HISTORY
Nearly 20 years ago in a Montreal basement,
three men decided to start a new breed of
trucking in Canada. The basement belonged to
Egidio Pizzingrilli and along with Michael
Flinker and Domenic Di Girolamo they spent years
contemplating the formula
for creating trucking company that had both the
resources of a large transportation company and
offered the professional personal service
elements that were lacking from regional
carriers. Naming the firm after their wives they
had two trucks, one driver and $1,500 left in
the bank. They set out on a mission to find
firms in Montreal and Toronto willing to trust a
new and unknown company. In 1987 these three men
successfully redefined Full Truckload
Transportation and FLS was born.
Within the first years of the firms founding,
FLS found its niche as the leading cross border
Full Truckload Carrier. Their new clients were
Fortune 500 Retailers who had aggressive growth
strategies during the late 1980’s and early
‘90’s. FLS was there to launch their Canadian
expansion efforts. FLS has built a business
model of “growing with your business”. This
model has transformed the firm into one that
operates in all 48 United States and all 10
Canadian provinces. |
